The Night We Reached Kyoto

Our first evening in Kyoto felt like stepping quietly into a story already unfolding.

From the ordered bustle of Tokyo Station, with its cranes rising into winter skies, to the hushed crowds gathering at lantern-lit shrines as New Year celebrations wound down, these images capture that first night spent walking Kyoto’s streets.

It was also the night I downloaded Lightroom Mobile for the first time and began to think seriously about editing my photos. In many ways, this was the beginning of my journey into really enjoying photography. A quiet arrival that set everything else in motion.
