Asakusa at New Year

To say I was excited to finally visit Japan would be an understatement…

Asakusa in early January. Streets lined with lanterns, temple pagodas rising quietly among modern towers, and Tokyo Skytree glowing day and night above it all.

This collection captures a day spent walking through markets, under wooden gates, and along narrow streets during Japan’s New Year celebrations. A truly beautiful part of the city.
